A GREAT SEASON APPROACHES FOR ARSENAL AND WILSHERE

Wilshere itching for Higuain arrival

This coming season will be a very exciting one in English football, and should be a good one for Arsenal. Manchester United have a new manager for the first time in nearly three decades, Manchester City have a new manager and are expected to spend big to retake the crown from their rivals and Chelsea have seen the return of “The Special One” with money and ambition to match his name.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and even Swansea will be looking to break the dominance of the top three and challenge for different things. Swansea will be looking to nail down a permanent Europa League place to build from there. Everton are going to fight ever harder to break into the Champions League, although they also need to get used to a new manager in Roberto Martinez. Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham will be battling it out to secure a Champions League spot and Arsenal will likely be challenging for the title so long as some quality players are brought in this summer.

This is also going to be a big season for Jack Wilshere. Since he was 16 or 17 he has been destined for legendary status at the club and he has grown well. Injuries have slightly slowed his development though in the last few seasons and he could be a lot better than he currently is. This upcoming season is his chance to make the leap from a promising talent into a revered world class player who would be welcome in any team in Europe.

He needs to stay fit and continue on his goal of becoming a top, top player. With the arrivals of new players at the club, Wilshere can be a vital part of an Arsenal team that could win it’s first trophy in 8 years. He has the ability, he has the determination and he has the love of Arsenal that can allow him to pull the club out of these hard times and become just as important for the club as Ronaldo is to Real Madrid, Messi to Barcelona and Bale to Tottenham.

Next season if he avoids injury, he will finally fulfil his potential and be of the same midfield quality as Xavi and Andres Iniesta. He will be THE replacement for both Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in the England team and play a starring role at next year’s World Cup.

As Arsenal fans, we need to show belief in him and support him through the season as it will be the biggest of his career.

Now is the time to step out of the “future talent” tag and into “world class player
