One of the most common misused words are “compliment” vs “complement”.

In a typical day I spend hours reading online content. For many writers, a good chunk of our time is spent in research mode. We may be scouring online databases looking for facts to support various conclusions or maybe I’m just reading through the news of the day to stay fresh and current. One thing that is often mind boggling is the misuse of words in the English language.

I’ll be the first to admit that English is a difficult language to learn. After many years of teaching English, I believe beyond a doubt that someone seeking to tackle the English language has a long road ahead of them.
