Olusanya, who was kidnapped on Monday by a four-man gang along the double bridge at Ososa, Odogbolu local government area while returning from Abeokuta in Ogun State, was reportedly dropped on the road side on Tuesday at 6:pm.
Confirming the release, the Public Relations Officer in Ogun State Police Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that Prof. Olusanya had been released by the kidnappers, adding that the command was not in the picture of the release.
He said: “We don’t know how the man was released. We were talking with the captors but we don’t know what the family did before the man was released. The family has been silent. If we don’t burst these people they will continue.”
While advising the people of the state to be security conscious, the PPRO said the issue of security must be collective.
