The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) dragged two cyber café operators, Olaide Semiu, 20yrs and Akinjogbin Olatunji 30yrs to court yesterday for allegedly carrying out unauthorized registration of the 2015 UTME.

According to the report, the Police prosecutor, Mr. John Idoko, told the court that the accused persons committed the crime on October 17, 2014, at Fakunle Area, Osogbo. He added that the offences contravened the provision of Sections 516, 473(1) and 419 of the criminal code, Laws of Osun state, 2003.
The charge sheet reads in part: “that you Olaide Semiu and Akinjogbin Olatunji, on the 17th of October, 2014 at Fakunle Area, Osogbo did defraud JAMB by registering candidates for UTME 2015 without express permission from JAMB or the lawful authority from JAMB, and thereby committed an offence”.
Counsel to the two accused person, Mrs. Raji Abiodun, urged the court to grant her client bail in a liberal term, promising that they would not jump bail and were ready to stand their trial.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr. Muhammed Lasisi, granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 and adjourned the case till December 10, 2014 for mention.
