.Your child’s A or B grades in WAEC/NECO will not guarantee his/her success in life.
.Your child’s school must have a robust LIFE 101 program to back-up his/her academic results by WAEC/NECO
.LIFE 101 programs can be divided up to either develop LIFE SKILLS or LEISURE SKILLS.By the time your child comes out with a WAEC or NECO certificate you should be interested in knowing from him/her and the school which of these skills he/she has TRULY mastered.
.Your child’s A or B grades in WAEC/NECO many times is no true reflection of his mastery in relevant subjects. If your child scores an A grade in WAEC English and a D grade in NECO English never assume that the difference is due to different standards by the examination bodies. Often times its a sign post,a signal, that all may not be as well as you thought.
.Your child’s WAEC/NECO result which shows him or her out performing his or her regular continuous assessment reports may also be a sign that you and WAEC or NECO might have been defrauded or out-foxed somewhere along the line and may portend greater danger for your child during higher studies.
.By the way, many schools present very fraudulent continuous assessment results to WAEC/NECO to use for final grades.Do you have any mechanism within the PTA to ensure honesty? Or you are like most parents satisfied as long as it is advantageous to your child?
.Be wary of any school showing you fantastic WAEC/NECO grades these days. The reality is that more students are reading less and more teachers are preparing less than teachers of old.Students are reading less because there are more distractions from outside their schools and many teachers in the system are either untrained or just don’t give a damn.So where do schools get those fantastic results from?
.It is even worse where schools do not have meaningful libraries to support their academic programs.Libraries are supposed to be the brain-boxes of schools’ academic programs.Where fantastic results are presented to you without a deep functional library then know you have been taken or about to be taken to the cleaners for “wash-wash”
.Many fantastic WAEC/NECO results you see are mere marketing props and do not reveal the actual content contributed to the life of your child by his or her school. But parents often forget that God has given them one simple advantage for uncovering all the cover-ups involved. They can simply sit down with their children in their sitting rooms from time to time and discover within 10-15 minutes of heart-to-heart discussion signs showing whether things are as real as they appear to be.
.Today,if your child comes out of any school with good grades in WAEC/NECO but can’t handle any Microsoft Office package you had better start doubting those grades. What it means is that he or she is only half-educated or a nit-wit.
