ODE TO WATER
Liquid, colorless and clear
Critical life source so dear
Traveler from heaven’s hydrosphere
Blessing to states of natural matter.
Piping down from mountains high
To streams and rivers nigh
With relief and human sigh
Waving illnesses and diseases bye
For eating and digestion
Water is of no mean disposition
For bodily health and affections
Water takes on cellular functions.
Flows as sweat or tears on life’s journey
Or how complete can life’s discovery
Without water be to shed a bad memory
Which clogs recovery or life’s glory.
A perfect partner and first–born
To our glorious Golden morn
Sending us life’s way each dawn
Or waiting quietly our return
